Volume & the Void

This performance explores two ways of understanding volume—through space and through sound. After the audience participates in a period of silence and “spacing out”, the performance continues with a recording of “Volumina" for organ by György Ligeti. The pages of the experimental score are turned in time to the music while images of volcanic eruptions are projected onto it.
